There are few mistakes that olim always do. Are you ready to get rid of them? Here are five little and annoying mistakes that you\u2019ll never do AGAIN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#1 Don’t use “Lifnei” ALL THE TIME!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

How would you translate the sentence: I\u2019ve lived in Israel for 3 years?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of olim would say: \u201c\u05d0\u05e0\u05d9 \u05d2\u05e8\u00a0 \u05d1\u05d9\u05e9\u05e8\u05d0\u05dc \u05dc\u05e4\u05e0\u05d9 3 \u05e9\u05e0\u05d9\u05dd”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BUT you should rather say: \u201c\u05d0\u05e0\u05d9 \u05d2\u05e8 \u05d1\u05d9\u05e9\u05e8\u05d0\u05dc \u05e9\u05dc\u05d5\u05e9 \u05e9\u05e0\u05d9\u05dd\u05f4” – if your sentence is in present tense, you don\u2019t have to add anything!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Know when to use “Be” and when to use “Le”<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All the movement verbs go with the preposition \u2018l\u00e9\u201d – not b\u00e9\u201d, not \u201cal\u201d, not \u201cetzel\u201d – only \u201cl\u00e9\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for instance, if you want to say that you\u2019re going somewhere…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of olim would say: ani olekh be<\/strong> missada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BUT you should rather say: ani olekh le<\/strong> missada. – For instance a taxi driver asks you: where are going? Tell him: ani tsarikh linsoa l\u00e9 yerushalaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
