66.1 The lesson

Shalom haverim,

Today we’re moving on to our fourth binyan in the past tense: nifal.

This binyan is especially important because it also serves as the passive form of verbs from the paal group.

You’ll start to see the connection between the active form (paal) and the passive form (nifal).

In this lesson, we’ll learn how to recognize nifal verbs, understand their structure, and conjugate them correctly in the past tense.

To follow along and do all the exercises, open your books to pages 59–66.
